Delicate and bold. Unconventional and versatile.
A unique architectural work of its kind which becomes a reference point for the community that lives the neighbourhood, a realization able to dialogue harmoniously with the surrounding environment.
Soft geometric lines, which know how to be minimal and at the same time innovative: this is the project of the architect Paola Schininà, who thought of a circular building surrounded by two sails which recreate the effect of a hug. The geometric shape so unique makes the church a welcoming place whether you admire it from the outside or going inside. The light designer Angelo Sanzone, of the Studio In Sensu, worked on the lighting design using Platek products. By carefully alternating lights and shadows, the designer has chosen to enhance the central circle, which contains the liturgical hall, leaving the architectural sails in the shade which, thanks to their structure, reveal the purity of shape. To make the most of the space Mini drive-over floor recessed luminaires with LED 10w (3000K warm light) with spot optic and elliptical filter have been chosen, thus avoiding glare when people pass, but ensuring a proper lighting effect. From the main entrances, the One floodlight have been applied, able to act as a service light. Finally, to enhance the verticality of the bell tower, Medium spot beam drive over recessed luminaire were chosen.
