Jozef Pilsudski Bridge

Designed in 1926, the Marszalek Jozef Pilsudski Bridge is the oldest pedestrian, cycling and road bridge in Cracow.

The new lighting project created by Qlab Laboratory of Light aims to requalify and emphasise the metal structure through the use of compact and discreet lighting fixtures. The use of state of the art technology in terms of power supply and control that substitute the pervious ones allow to create and program different lighting scenarios depending on the needs.

The customized fixtures supplied by Platek followed the designer’s specifications with different optics ranging from 10 to 50°, guarantee a precise and uniform lighting effect. The use of the compact white LED Spring projectors manufactured with a blue colour finish perfectly blend with the colour of the metallic structure of the bridge and guarantee visual comfort.

The combination of the different lighting elements create a soft and elegant visual effect in the night time skyline of Cracow.
